Fabric postcard -- I did a couple of these -- you can turn them in any direction!! I loved the simplicity of the three colors and did the decorative stitching with metallic red thread. The black and white pieces are small strips sewn together and "gleaned" from a sewing class long ago where I "begged" everyone's scraps just to see what I would do with them.
Fabric postcards with Sherrill Kahn fabrics, and a few others. I LOVE her fabrics. Ribbons and fibers added and lots of decorative stitching with variegated threads. I keep several different spools handy and switch often.

Fabric postcard. I call this one: marbles and pick-up sticks. Decorative stitching with multi-colored (variegated) threads (I use a LOT of this) on layered fabric pieces.
Fabric postcard, a layered crazy patch style with decorative machine stitches, and angelina fibers.
I have about a zillion different cat fabrics. I hope one day to make a cat quilt with all of them -- a huge one! In the meantime, I make fabric postcards, adding ribbon or trims. I liked the idea that the expressions on the cats' faces was because of the fish flying overhead.

Very simple fabric postcard with printed ribbon. This one didn't need much added!
One of a series of very simple cat fabric postcards. I won't bore you with all of them!
Fabric postcard; fabric has printed buttons, then buttons and fabric measuring tape are added.

Fabric postcard with metal charms, decorative top stitching/outlining and a crocheted basket.
Asian postcard with charms and Mizuki cording.
The last of the current batch of mixed media postcards. These have a variety of things sewn or glued to the surface (fabric, feathers, pieces of water colors that didn't quite make it as a painting, and clear word labels. I used a variety of media on top of the water color backgrounds -- more paints, oil pastels, and colored pencils. The piece on the left is made by brushing rubber cement across a piece of watercolor paper, letting it dry completely, and then watercoloring over it. Then tearing it and adding to a watercolor background.
Three more mixed media postcards. The bottom one is on water color background and the top two are a technique taught to me by Bill Tippie -- a very fun watercolor technique with mixed media added on top.

Here are three multi-media postcards I have in my booth for sale; the backgrounds are various hand decorated papers (L to R water color wash, Lumieres, shaving cream & reinkers).

The last of the handmade gifts. I can't BELIEVE I forgot to take a photo when it was framed. Chalk it up to the last minute rush. I made this small fabric landscape for my therapist, a wonderful doctor who has seen me through some very rough spots in life and to whom I will be eternally grateful!
I added some silk roving over the mountains to give a misty appearance-- pale blue and golden yellow, just before I added nonglare glass and a rustic handmade frame. I wanted to do a KY scene but my fingers kept pulling out those southwestern colors! Fortunately, she told me she has a couple of southwestern pieces in her home.

This is the reverse of Netta's fabric postcard purse insert -- made especially to celebrate her taking in the very gorgeous Morris -- her neighborhood's red tabby -- he's much prettier than the one in this faric -- maybe Netta will paint him -- er, will paint a likeness of him!
One of the fabric postcards for dear sweet Netta's little black Walmart purse! We both love Laurel Burch colors and especially the cats!
And one more fiber necklace for one more dear friend! Pink and blue and silver cat charms for Netta who is currently trying to "adopt" a neighborhood cat who she has named Morris and is the spitting image! Hurrah for Netta. Someone for their precious "Baby" -- a gray tabby -- and yup, that's her real name -- to play with.

I finished up Debra's fiber necklace -- cat of course -- and got it in the mail on Monday. I don't call myself the queen of the last minute for nothing!
