Here are three of my stitched postcards. These are watercolor backgrounds on heavy watercolor paper, then stitched on my old Singer Athena 2000. One has an embellishment. These are so rexlaxing and fun to do.
I started this blog to share what I create with other like-minded artists, to share the artwork of my friends, to share the blogs and web sites of others that I enjoy, and eventually to add some things for sale.
The last of the current batch of mixed media postcards. These have a variety of things sewn or glued to the surface (fabric, feathers, pieces of water colors that didn't quite make it as a painting, and clear word labels. I used a variety of media on top of the water color backgrounds -- more paints, oil pastels, and colored pencils. The piece on the left is made by brushing rubber cement across a piece of watercolor paper, letting it dry completely, and then watercoloring over it. Then tearing it and adding to a watercolor background.
